Bio.

Mia Boonen (she/her/they) is a theatre-maker, advocate and educator born and raised in the western suburbs of Naarm. With a practice led by access and community, she is the CEO of Dramawerkz Theatre Inc. and has a degree in Fine Arts (Theatre) from the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA). Mia splits her time between creating art and facilitating workshops across various NFP organisations and local councils, with a strong focus on youth co-creation, disability rights and mental health. In 2023, Mia was named Hobsons Bay’s Young Citizen of the year.
